Well, the odds had mixed success last round! nick_the_insane has been analysing results and may-or-may-not publish something to discuss. I’m still very impressed with them, and below we have another round of interesting match-ups.

If this isn’t match of the round, I don’t know what is! Percentage the only thing separating these two, both heavily favoured for the flag and top-spot, both looking for a big scalp. Also, Sharks playing against Elephants is kinda cool. I have a feeling home-ground could be crucial.

$1.96 Boomz (11th, 1976) versus $1.85 RobsOverAchieverss (8th, 1982)

Both teams perilously sit in the middle of the top 16, both teams not certain for finals. Rob has outscored Boomz the last 3 weeks, but all have been close affairs.

$1.84 Flame (5th, 1972) versus $1.97 pyronerd (12th, 1962)

Flame had a terrible week last week that saw him drop from top spot to 5th spot with a sub 1800 score. On the other hand, pyronerd was one of the few teams that topped 2000. This game will show where both teams stand.

David v Goliath

$6.16 bunyip (29th, 1846) versus $1.13 pyronerd (12th, 1962)

Pyronerd has outscored bunyip in 6 of 7 rounds so far this year, and a massive effort from the Kitty follower is required. However, bunyip was in a similar position against McRooster last week and came away with a win! Can lightning strike twice?

$1.17 Junktimer (7th, 2021) versus $5.15 Alex7089 (28th, 1719)

The very consistent Junktimer would be desperate to get this game in the wins column after being upset by the previous bottom-of-the-table DazBurg last week. Alex7089 is much better than his average suggests, and is looking to get back into finals contention.

$4.29 Alex7089 (28th, 1719) versus $1.22 valkorum (20th, 1975)

It doesn’t get any easier for Alex! Valkorum, although sitting in 20th position on the ladder, has scored the 10th most points for the year and needs a victory to improve his 3-5 record.

$1.90 DazBurg (6th, 2119) versus $1.90 naste (13th, 2119)

100,000 simulations couldn’t separate these two. Victorian v All-Star. Naste had an impressive week last year, and needs the victory more for ladder position, I’ll back my All-Star team-mate to get through on this one.

$1.98 thornz23 (12th, 2087) versus $1.83 RobsOverAchieverss (7th, 2096)

Thornz23 has shown glimpses of greatness during the year, but Rob finds himself higher on the ladder with a higher average. I think Rob will have a thorn in his paw (I promise, that’s the last pun).

$1.99 MajorLazer (19th, 2116) versus $1.83 CrowsFan (5th, 2127)

Despite showing similar form during the year, CrowsFan finds himself 14 spots higher on the ladder than MajorLazer. Can CrowsFan continue his charmed run?

Hawka26 ranks last on points for the year so far, while his opponent Hellopplz sits 2 spots lower on the ladder but 10th on points! Hellopplz desperately needs a win to capitalise on his good form. Hellopplz could do with an easier week following a 6 point victory and 3 point defeat last week!

$1.30 BratPack (17th, 2129) versus $3.55 roo boys! (32nd, 2013)

BratPack sits outside the top 16 on percentage only and has outscored roo boys! on all 7 occasions this year. roo boys! is trying valiantly to change his form, and this is a must win for him.

$3.19 roo boys! (32nd, 2013) versus $1.36 bomberboy0618/Luigi197 (24th, 2124)

Roo boys! faces another challenger desperate to win, as the dynamic duo of BB and L197 looking to improve on a 3-5 record.
